You can choose between beautifull reefs, magnificent caves, stunning wrecks (like the MV Avantis III) or archaeological dive sites. You must know that access to archaelogical dive spots are regulated very strictly to protect historical treasures.
Best months to dive in Greece are setpember and october. There is four reasons for this : water is warm, sun is not too strong, less tourist and prices are lower than during the high season.
Visibility: You will enjoy a good visibility, between 15 and 35 meters depending on the dive spots.
Current: There is not so much current in Greece. Diving is easy is the Meditteranean sea.
Difficulties: Accessible to every divers, Greece is an ideal place for diving holidays.
Water temperature will vary between 15°C in winter and 26°C in summer (july to september).
The seabed in Greece are among the richest in biodiversity. You gonna observe all the fish species of the Mediterranean (red mullet, sea bass, sea bream, sea bream, toothed, lionfish, groupers, moray eels, barracudas) crustaceans (crabs, lobsters, shrimp) or cephalopods ( octopuses, cuttlefish). Finally, if you are lucky enought, you might spot pelagic marine species such as the graceful eagle ray, small sharks, turtly or marine mammals such as seals.
