Where to dive in Venezuela?


You should definitly avoid the western part until Tucacas because the visibility is just amazingly bad as the waters are muddy. In the Morrocoy National Park, on the contrary, the shallow waters are very clear and full of different fish. The town of Tucacas offers numerous accommodations and you will easily be able to find great diving clubs in Tucacas.
The town of Puerto Cabello is the starting point for the famous dive sites of Marina Punta Brava, 50 km further south. For the diving wreck lovers, you will be able to discover 6 amazing historical ships of notable size such as the Sesotris and the Jacob.
Further on, we reach the bay of Boca, an haven on earth, far from the touristic crowd where small dive centers such as the diving shop Refugio de Buzos will be happy to welcome you.

The Roques Islands

Located 160 km from the Venezuelan coast, Los Roques National Marine Park has more than 360 scattered islands lost in an immense lagoon of 250,000 hectares.
