Atlantis Dune is a dive center which operates in Asia, on the island of Bali, since 1996. We are a 5 Star PADI Certified IDC (Instructor Development Center) based in Sanur South of Bali and we have more than 20 years experience in Indonesia. We cater to many nationalities and we can offer nearly all levels of PADI courses, from first-time diver (Try Diving) up to PADI OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor). Atlantis Dune Bali specializes in diving baptisms in Bali, our qualified instructors regularly practice introductions to diving, they are fully aware of the learning methods for a first immersion. It is therefore with confidence and serenity that you will approach for the first time the underwater world. You will do your first dive in Tulamben, northeast of Bali, which is a world famous diving site. Your instructor will begin with a brief presentation of the equipment, and safety rules. Then your qualified PADI instructor will take you out to sea for two dives from the beach, on the famous Liberty Wreck that houses a huge variety of tropical fish. This spot is known worldwide for its wreck of USS Liberty also called USAT Liberty. The sea is calm and conducive to dives for beginners who want to do a baptism and for all levels of diving. The rich biodiversity of its seabed attracts underwater photographers, naturalists, marine biology enthusiasts and "fans" of macros. Macro enthusiasts will be delighted to see the famous pink pygmy hippocampus (Hippocampus bargibanti Whitley). The island of Nusa Penida is the world famous site for Manta rays and the Mola Mola called Moonfish. The boats, Atlantis I and Atlantis II leave every day around 8:30, including the site of "Manta Point", the "cleaning station" rays Mantas Bali reef (Manta Alfredi). On the other side of the island is the must-see "Crystal Bay", where, from July to October, you can admire the moon fish (Mola Mola Bali), an incredible fish of 3 meters wide. With a bit of luck we can see black tip sharks, white tip, barracudas, rays and sometimes even the Mola Mola especially from July to October. Thanks to the current, the visibility is often very good and the coral reef in excellent health, but it remains a site where the conditions can change very quickly, we will wait for favorable conditions to dive there. (Minimum 3 people, National Park ticket excluded). Menjangan ("Deer Island") is a Bali Barat National Park, located northwest of Bali Island near the Strait of Java. It will take you 4 hours from Sanur (Denpasar) by Dune Atlantis International Bali air-conditioned bus to cross Bali in its width. You will follow a splendid road lined with rice fields to Bedugul the mountainous area known for its lakes, orchids and strawberries. Access to the island is controlled and protected, its coast is lined with mangroves and beaches, it is uninhabited and is home to a rich marine fauna. Menjangan is ranked among the best dives in Asia, Menjangan diving conditions are generally optimal: low current, water temperature 27-30 degrees and visibility up to 50m. Several types of diving are possible in this region: deep and drifting with its steep drop offs. Photography is possible with its gigantic sea fans, marine biology and macrophotography for the dive "muck dive" of Gilimanuk, the paradise of the ride in PMT (palms-mask-tubas). The island of Menjangan remains the "spot" off the beaten track, authentic for its access by local boat and its tranquility, its natural reserve inhabited only by deer.
