When to go diving
Biorocks is a dive site where structures made from steel bars have been curved and welded into any type of shape. The steel structure is attached to a battery which gives it an electrical current. Broken corals are attached to the structure and then the electric current stimulates the growth of these corals, which start to grow 5 times faster than normal. The biorocks provide shelter for all kinds of reef fish such as scorpionfish, gondola, platax, trumpet fish or chestfish. This dive spot shows that it is now possible to invest in projects to protect corals.
