Often criticized, medical hypnosis has been confused by the hypnosis of fairs and cabarets. It has proven its effectiveness in the first place for pain management migraines, painful care for children in hospitals and anxiety. Hypnosis is also an excellent remedy for stress management, phobias, traumas but also very effective in quitting smoking. The benefits of hypnosis are therefore well known.

In hypnotherapy, 2 factors are essential

Motivation and trust with the hypnotherapist are the two essential factors for the success of a confident practice of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a natural, altered state of consciousness that is experienced every day without knowing it. Contrary to popular belief, you do not sleep in a state of hypnosis. On the contrary, you are in a state of hyper-concentration, which will promote the assimilation of the information you receive.

It is through this means that in hypnotherapy it will be possible, by using the person’s hyperconcentration and imagination, to gently and durably modify the mechanisms at the origin of the disorder.

Know that a hypnotist can never force you to do something you don’t want to do. In the event that you find yourself in a dangerous situation, your conscious mind will take over from your unconscious mind and refuse order.

Moreover, it is impossible to get stuck in a state of hypnosis, especially since it is a perfectly natural state. In hypnotherapy, you are always aware of everything that is happening and keep control, it is a very gentle hypnosis. Consequently, it is up to you to accept or not the therapist’s suggestions.

Most people are hypnotisable. However, it is necessary to distinguish therapeutic hypnosis from entertainment hypnosis.

Dive in complete serenity and safety

Like many sports, scuba diving is not always without risk. A panic attack, a moment of apprehension or even a diving accident can compromise the practice of this magnificent sport.

Most of the great champions as well as many scuba diving aficionados use hypnosis for better concentration. Hypnosis is one of the main tools for a confident and serene practice.

Training, apprehension, stress, hypnosis accompanies the preparation of a diver, whether professional or amateur. The usual techniques used in hypnotherapy are effective in allowing a diver to overcome his fears through his regular or very occasional sports activity.
