The Stargazer fish is a family, of perciform fish.
It looks very hideous, measures from 20 to 90 cm, has a flat body with big head and eyes on top. They have two big venomous spines behind their gills and above the pectoral fins that can cause electric shocks. They are found at the bottom of the deep waters. To hunt their prey, they bury themselves in the sand, and only their eyes stay out of the sand. They then use their huge mouth to suck the preys: small fish and crustaceans. Do you think the Stargazer Fish is the ugliest fish in the world?
